The Whole Truth pits Manhattan's toughest team of District Attorneys
against the city's most up-and-coming defense firm.

The Prosecution delivers justice to victims of the city's most grievous crimes,
while the Defense stands to protect the fate of those accused, innocent and guilty alike.

One moment, the Prosecution, lead by Kathryn Peale, will convince you of the defendant's guilt,
but the next the Defense, headed by Jimmy Brogan, will convince you of his innocence.

Twists and turns are the heart and soul of high-profile criminal law
and even the jury doesn't get it right all the time.

No one ever knows what really happened until the the very last scene,
when we learn... The Whole Truth.

THE DEFENSE:

JIMMY BROGAN:

Jimmy is the "James" in James Brogan & Associates, his rising Manhattan criminal defense firm.
You could say Jimmy was destined to be an attorney because the man loves nothing more than a
good fight, especially with his old friend, ADA Kathryn Peale. As for his flash, you can
trace that right back to his roots in Hell's Kitchen, roots that also explain
how Jimmy's got a friend on nearly every corner in the five boroughs.
Jimmy sees himself as the last line of defense, protecting individuals from the machine that
is the justice system, and he is willing to risk anything, even his own happiness, to ensure
that protection. He has assembled a small team of attorneys and they are
making a name for themselves, one hard-fought win at a time.

ALEJO SALAZAR:

An openly gay attorney whose husband is prominent in the DC political sphere,
has risen through the ranks at James Brogan & Associates,
an up-and-coming criminal defense firm in Manhattan.
Alejo showed up on Jimmy Brogan's doorstep the day after graduating from Penn Law
and has since become Jimmy's go-to man. Alejo's there with legal citations at a moment's notice,
there to clean up when Jimmy misspeaks to the press, and by Jimmy's side in the courtroom;
without Alejo the walls would come tumbling down.

LENA BOUDREAUX:

Lena is the newest edition to James Brogan & Associates,
but she doesn't intend to spend much time waiting to make partner.
She comes with Ivy League swagger and elegance, but she's fast to adapt to the
less-than-white collar environs to which her new job often takes her.
She and Alejo sharpen their teeth on each other,
but at the end of the day, they play for the same team.

THE PROSECUTION:

KATHRYN PEALE:

Kathryn Peale is revered by all and feared by many. As one of the DA's big guns,
she is called on to prosecute NYC's most difficult and prominent criminal cases.
In the courtroom, Kathryn quotes great literature and great rap lyrics alike.
It's a trick that keeps defense attorneys, like her old friend Jimmy Brogan, guessing.
Kathryn's father, Chief of Police in a small New England town, framed the sense of
right and wrong that's made her such a force in the New York City court system.
Her friend and colleague, Edge, is often by her side and together they've recently been
asked, as a favor to the DA, to mentor a young ADA named Chad. Kathryn isn't Chad's biggest fan.

TERRENCE "EDGE" EDGECOMB:

Edge is the Chief of Trial Bureau 50 and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who isn't a fan.
He is senior enough that he gets to pick and choose his cases, and whenever possible,
he chooses to work alongside Kathryn. Edge is so named for his zest for living,
a trait that took him all over the legal world until the DA recruited him a few years back.
Edge lives life well: he works hard and he plays elegantly.
He is married to a successful novelist with whom he shares a love for wine and the blues.
He even sits in on harmonica with some musician friends when work allows him the time.

CHAD GRIFFIN:

Chad is one of the younger Assistant District Attorneys in the Manhattan office.
He comes from a blue-blooded Upper East Side family with far-reaching political connections
and his father definitely got him his job. Despite the nepotism, however, Chad has the
makings of an excellent trial attorney…
now if he can only manage to reign in his elitist entitlement and be accepted in the DA's office.
