PRESS YOUR LUCK

September 19, 1983 - September 26, 1986
CBS Daytime Game Show

Host:

Three contestants tried to earn "spins" by answering
questions. After a question was read, the first
player to buzz in was given a chance to win three
spins depending on whether or not he or she gave a
correct answer. This answer plus two others were then
listed as three possibilities from which the other
two players chose. A player received one spin for a
correct answer. Four such questions were asked in
each half of the game. Each player then used the
spins to earn cash and prizes located on a rotating
game board, while trying to avoid a "whammy" that
served to bankrupt the players. The player could
give remaining spins to his or her opponent at any
time. Four whammys eliminated a player from the game.
The player with the most cash after two rounds won.
A player retired after reaching the $25,000 limit.

Repeats of Press Your Luck aired on the USA cable
network September 14, 1987 - October 13, 1995.
