698 Sycamore Road, San Pueblo, California, the residence
of a show-business Rock group, the Partridge Family:
Shirley, a widowed suburban mother with a houseful of
rambunctious kids: Keith, age 16; Laurie, 15; Danny,
the freckle-faced ten-year-old con man; Christpher,
7; and Tracy, 5. They set out in a wildly painted old
school bus to perform around the country. Stories
depicted their exploits on the road, and in their
California hometown. Reuben Kinkade was their fast-
talking, child-hating agent, and perpetual foil for
Danny. During the 1973-1974 season a neighbor's son,
4-year-old Ricky, joined the cast.

Shirley Jones and Stepson David Cassidy were the
only ones who actually sang on the show. The back-
ground vocals were done by John Bahler, Tom Bahler,
Jackie Ward, and Ron Hicklin. The Partridge Family
was loosely based on the experiences of real-life
popular recording family, The Cowsills.
