Created by two-time Emmy Award winner Suzanne Martin,
this offbeat family comedy centers on 15-year-old Molly
Stage who - like most girls her age - feels as
if she's surrounded by a family of freaks.

In the smallest town in the smallest state, Molly's positive
she's got the weirdest family around. The fact is that until
recently, Molly felt like she was one of them. Now, emerged
from braces, glasses and baby fat, she dreams of
shedding her familial shackles, too.

Her torturous coming of age plays out in a house crammed with
odd knick-knacks and even odder people who vary widely in
ages and sanity levels. Her mom, Mary, is a well-meaning,
pathologically late, fanatical penny-pincher; her dad, Jerry,
is a sweet man who just wants to live a peaceful life and focus
on his one true passion - coaching Molly's all-girl soccer team.

The insecurities and torture rituals of adolescence are tough
enough, but outnumbered at home by crazy relatives eight to
one, Molly feels like an outcast in her own family. One
teenage brother, Grant, has dreams of becoming a rock star -
a Christian rock star - while her other brother, bad boy Rick,
dodges calls from the police and stashes fake Rolexes in his
bedroom...and she's not sure which one is more embarrassing.
Top off the insanity with her two maniacal younger sisters,
identical twin terrors Mindy and Cindy, whom
even her dad can't tell apart.

If that roster wasn't bad enough, Molly's mom's
mom has a penchant for hiding raw food, and
her dad's dad has been cranky since 1959.

In this family of misfits, Molly's trying desperately not to
fit in and, like all red-blooded, family-fearing teenagers,
spends most of the time hiding in her bedroom. Every day,
she sits at her computer and chronicles her embarrassing
existence in her journal. Her best friend Mia is the
only outsider permitted to see inside the funny farm.
Still, there are moments that illuminate these ties
that bind. Even a slightly neurotic and self-conscious
Molly, whose constant mantra is I am not my family, can
see that this mixed bag of nuts is a part of
her...whether she likes it or not.
