At the beginning of this blue-collar comedy
Grace had just broken up with her physically
abusive, beer sucking, redneck husband of
eight years, convinced it was better to try
to raise her three kids alone. She got a job
at an oil refinery where she traded jibes
with her Neanderthal male co-workers.
Providing moral support were best friend
Nadine and her husband, Wade, and mellow
pharmacist Russell, who had just
divorced his greedy wife.
Grace Under Fire takes place in Victory,
Missouri, and centers around Grace Kelly,
a Southern woman whose life experiences
have given her a certain edge. Grace is
a smart-talking, no-nonsense, straight-
shooting survivor of a bad marriage.
Eager to improve her lot while raising
Quentin, Libby and Patrick, Grace remains
the sole support of her family. During
season 4, Grace bought and fixed up an old
house, once again under fire as she faced
problems on the job and in her personal life.
Through it all, she remains determined as
ever to secure the best possible life for
herself and her children.
