Johnny Carson made his national television debut hosting
this Sunday night summer replacement series. Contestants
answered questions about geography to win a trip. In order
to win, the contestant had to answer four questions moving
up a "step" with every correct answer. A contestant who
missed a question was given a second chance in the "States
Game," where contestants were given thirty seconds to
place assorted cutouts of individual states on a map of
the United States. A prize was given for each state put
in its proper place, and a "dream vacation" if a
predetermined state was among the correct guesses.
